family
	my little brother. senior at washington university in st. louis, majoring in english lit; spent part of his junior year at oxford being all smart and british and whatnot. smartest cookie ever. has the unfortunately tendency to have something wrong with his right leg, so seems to come back every summer (or more) for surguries and rehab. boo-urns.	max brother aka Nubian Prince
	mom has imparted a penchant for modern design, emotional stubbornness, and pack rat-itis; thankfully, her culinary tendencies towards laissez-faire measuring practices have NOT rubbed off... it's a boon that she shops vicariously - "oh, my mom got me that" is a constant and appreciative refrain.	mom mother aka jo, cokey
	dad likes golf. a lot. he's a lawyer. i have never seen him without his mustache. last year someone asked him if he were pierce brosnan - mom and i got a good laugh out of that. he's more the jewish tom selleck, i think.	dad father aka steve

	laura, my mayhem partner of the past two years, has left to obtain a masters in health sciences from johns hopkins. this is an awesome development; however, i am still petulant like a little child because i miss her so much. halloween this year? not interested. rokk solide.	laura UHS, wellesley aka lady labes
	jess and i lived together in the odd metropolis that is los angeles, and she took a haitus in NYC, but now she's back in SF dating captain kirk and riding a motorcycle with him. jess sports the "what would joan didion do?" sweatshirt in all its glory - what a trendsetter. she also shares a love of large delicious words. i can say with all honesty and verve that she is definitely not a tatterdemalion. except that she HAS been dressing very boho chic lately...	jess UHS aka lady spunk
	finishing law school at hastings, but not interested in practicing law. salon charlotte maintains dan's mohawk. we have a date fortnightly for a trim, and we nearly always include an outing to toraya sushi. don't call for an appointment; we're very exclusive.	dan UHS aka daniel-san
	emily has the highest level of enthusiasm for so many projects, and the laugh to match. she teaches cooking classes out of her kitchen and also works with whole foods. lately obessesed with furniture and domestic ware to purchase for her future place. she's a volleyball buddy, too.	emily UHS aka big worm!
	went to both grade school and high school with mireille, after which she continued on to sarah lawrence college. she writes beautifully, and now lives in brooklyn, working in manhattan for metropolis magazine. hurrah bylines! i am also obligated to put this up: "In the interest of full disclosure, Charlotte Cooper must concede that she obtained this photograph under fraudulent pretenses and has promised to replace it as soon as an individual shot is available. 	susan lives in a little cottage in berkeley and has kitties named jack and gracie. jack was originally named dot, but then dot turned out to be XY. oops. we are lunch buddies with girlKris and Dawn and often eat out on the patio when the weather is nice. Susan is one of the pickiest choosiest and most discerning eaters ever. i always get her cucumbers.	susan work aka spoozan
	schmerica works at mckinsey. erica seems to be a normal gal, but behind the facade of normality and pragmatism, she's a little bizarre, which is perfect. also, erica has perfect pitch. sometimes erica is in my dreams telling me to clean my room. she comes to visit the most and, therefore, adores me. je t'adore, erica!	erica wellesley aka bevs
	kristin is quietly quirky, is working in an organic co-op in sacramento (where she no longer lives in a tent), and has excellent theories about why organic food rocks. also, kristin is not a hippie. and now it can be told: kristin and laura bruno masterminded the anonymous teletubbie valentines of 2001.
